Family Promise of Greater Wichita is excited to announce that Alan Corliss will be serving as the Vice President of its Board of Directors during 2024.

Alan, a vital partner in the founding and development of our local Family Promise Affiliate in 2016, joined the Board team last year and brings a passion for continued impact to his seat on this leadership team and partners that passion with a view for growth for our organization and community.

Alan works as a Senior Client Advisor with INTRUST Wealth and is not new to the Family Promise mission or leadership within this work in the community. Alan, his wife Carrie, and their family and friends have been focused on extending hospitality, support, and empowerment to individuals experiencing homelessness for years. While serving out in local parks and areas regularly, they recognized that shelters were often full and that there were not enough resources for kids and families who were struggling with housing insecurity in our community.

This realization was the catalyst that led to the founding of Family Promise of Greater Wichita and the impact of the past seven years. As Alan states, “People are always saying ‘We have to do something about this.’ Well…who’s ‘we’?” Alan is excited to continue serving families through the work of the Family Promise Board and to move the mission forward to help more people.

“I think we can be a model for other organizations to do this work the right way. It’s more than just serving more families, it’s working for the greater good of the homeless population.”

Alan Corliss

Alan has been an invaluable resource and voice on the Board since joining early in 2023. His passion for connecting people to this mission and his thoughtful perspective on important matters have made a huge difference during this time. Board President Connor Cross says that, “Alan is no stranger to Family Promise and has been heavily involved with the organization since its inception. His tribal knowledge and passion for our mission is a huge benefit to our Board team.”

Alan, his wife Carrie, and his kids (and new grandchild!) live, work, and play in the Wichita community and love serving together. The entire family is actively involved in the Family Promise mission and they are all passionate about creating bright futures for those around them.

Thank you, Alan, for your passion for empowering families with children to overcome homelessness and reach a sustainable, independent future within a solid community!
