We are thrilled to welcome BreAnn Gilkey as the newest member of the Family Promise of Greater Wichita Board of Directors!

BreAnn is a lifelong Wichitan with a passion for serving our community with heart and grace. After earning her Masters in Social Work, she worked with several local organizations and programs before landing in the perfect place for her passion and gifts – Wichita State University’s School of Social Work. There, BreAnn serves as the Associate Director of Field Practicum, teaching and equipping future Social Workers and helping place them with organizations and programs where they will grow and thrive in their field.

BreAnn is taking on the role of Board Development Chair, but has been contributing to the strength and success of the FPGW program long before joining the Board of Directors. Through her position at WSU, she’s been instrumental in placing our VISTAs, Raven and ShaiLyn, for their practicum and we couldn’t think of a better testament to BreAnn’s thoughtful approach to putting together a great team!

With her experience in social services and in shaping those who are seeking to make a difference in our community through social work, BreAnn brings an incredible depth of understanding and insight to the FPGW team. We value this addition and opportunity to continue building a strong Board of Directors that is passionate about serving our program and community well.

Outside of her work and FPGW efforts, BreAnn enjoys spending time with her family, especially her two children. She actively seeks ways to engage her kids in the community and teaches them to look for ways to enjoy time together and have fun. Her favorite place in Wichita is her parents’ front porch and she values time spent with friends and with her church family.

BreAnn’s incredible heart for others shines through the moment she enters the room and her passion for helping those facing homelessness is a great asset to the Family Promise mission. Welcome, BreAnn! We are grateful to have you on our team!
