Family Promise of Greater Wichita is thrilled to welcome Jasia Hanna to our team of Family Advocates! Jasia will be working with Emergency Services families, leading efforts to prevent homelessness and empower families to overcome housing insecurity.

Jasia brings a wealth of experience from her previous role at the Wichita Department of Housing, where she contributed to programs like WERAP, Housing Stability, and Housing and Community Investments. She particularly enjoyed hosting open houses and assembling move-in baskets, similar to our Housewarming Bundles. Her extensive knowledge and experience will be invaluable to both our team and the families we serve.

Growing up in Wichita and Hutchinson, Jasia has a deep understanding of our community’s needs. She is passionate about addressing housing instability and recognizes the critical importance of supportive housing solutions. Jasia shared, “Being a helping hand is worth it; it makes my heart smile.”

Her personal experiences have shaped her dedication to social work. Jasia understands the challenges many of our families face and is committed to breaking trauma cycles and supporting mental health, which she believes is essential to children’s well-being.

“We are thrilled to have Jasia on the team.  She is energetic and ready to jump right into her new position. She holds the same core values that sets Family Promise apart and she brings a passion to the position to provide encouragement to the families that she serves,” said FPGW Executive Director Dawn Epp

In your first conversation with Jasia, you’ll inevitably learn about her Spider-Man-obsessed three-year-old, who fuels her dedication to the FPGW mission. “Kids are the future, and I don’t mind playing the big bad wolf to protect them,” she says.

When she’s not working, you might find Jasia enjoying her favorite restaurant, Mexico Viejo. She also has plans to attend WSU to pursue a degree in Social Work in the coming years.

Welcome Jasia!
