Family Promise of Greater Wichita is excited to welcome Jessica Timm to its Board of Directors! Jessica, a Personal Injury Lawyer with Patterson Legal Group, brings not only her legal expertise to the Board Team, but also carries a heart for helping families in our community.
“Nobody else is there just for families that need that support and love when they’re struggling. There comes a time when everybody is going to need some type of help and to have an organization that solely focuses on getting these kids into a safe space means a lot.”
Jessica Timm
Since joining the Board this Summer, Ms. Timm has already contributed to meaningful discussions with Board and Staff members and is excited to be a voice at the table to understand and speak to the complexities of various situations. She enjoys utilizing her understanding of legal perspective to help Family Promise run more efficiently and make sure that things are getting done properly. As a people person, she loves the teamwork involved in the working of the Board and its teams.
Already, Timm has even been able to lend voice to questions and has proven a great partner for the FPGW Case Management team and Guest families as a connection for resources and insight.
“We are so pleased to have added Jessica to our board team. Her legal experience has already been a huge benefit to the organization.”
FPGW Board President Connor Cross
Jessica grew up in Kansas City, attended college in Pittsburg, where she met her husband, and completed law school in Topeka. Graduating with a Law degree helped her accomplish a long time dream, sparked by a cousin she admired, and gave Timm the opportunity to do what she wanted to do most – help other people.
After graduation, Jessica found herself with an opportunity to join the Patterson Legal team and excitedly relocated to Wichita. She has loved getting to know the Wichita community and trying new, local places, but – most of all – she has loved being a part of the culture at Patterson. She enjoys a work environment that values work/life balance, empowers its team members, and encourages community involvement and connection. In fact, it was an encouragement and connection from Tyler Patterson that led Jessica to eventually join the Family Promise team!
Jessica loves being married to her husband and spending time with their two beautiful dogs, who have been their “first babies.” They are ready to welcome their first child, a baby girl, in December. As big football fans, and a household divided between Kansas City Chiefs and Minnesota Vikings loyalties, Jessica and her husband have started a journey to visit every NFL stadium.
Welcome to the Family Promise family, Jessica!
