Family Promise of Greater Wichita will be hosting our first-ever Chili Cookoff: Battle of the Congregations this Saturday, February 23, 4:00-6:00pm, at St. Mary Orthodox Christian Church, 344 S. Martinson.
Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children — cash or check ONLY — at the door. No advance tickets required.
A variety of local faith Congregations will be providing chili for the competition. Attendees will sample as many types of chili as they wish and vote for their favorite chili by donations at their favorite table(s).
Thanks to our partner Bluestem Rentals LLC, who will be joining us with a collection of indoor/outdoor games for all ages!
All admission fees go directly to empower homeless families here in Wichita.
Family Promise of Greater Wichita brings groups together to provide shelter, meals, and intensive case management so that families can get back on their feet.
Lately we’ve all been stuck indoors here in Wichita, staring out at cold wintry days. Some warm soup or chili sounds perfect. Please join us and bring your friends and family!
