2017 reflections and 2018 dreams from our Director.
Merry Christmas! Happy New Year!
Can you believe that we are already at the doorstep of another new year? I am looking back at the first year of service for Family Promise of Greater Wichita and thinking about all that we experienced and accomplished together. Did you set and achieve amazing personal goals in 2017, or was your year filled with unexpected challenges?
As we grow community-based support networks for the families we serve, I hope your personal support network has grown and become enriched as well.
Because we do life with our families, we see their challenges, successes and failures, and they see ours. The support we offer each other is surely the response that Jesus calls us to.
Your continued dedication and support of our mission and families will enable FPGW to serve more families with children in 2018. It will help remove obstacles to successful, sustainable independence.
We have big plans for FPGW next year.
We hope to expand our rotation program capacity and grow our mentor program while continuing to increase our ability to serve.
We hope to add financial literacy mentors and provide new parenting tools for families in crisis.
When you believe in our families enough to volunteer, and provide financial support, it helps them to believe in themselves.
Thank you for all that you have given in time, treasure, and talent in 2017. You made a difference in each life you touched.
I hope you will continue to bless us in 2018 with your continued commitment to the program, and that we will continue to empower and enrich the lives of families with children in the Greater Wichita area.
With gratitude, prayers, love, and laughter,
Jacqueline Cook Green, Executive Director
