Q: Can I sponsor a Family Promise guest family for Christmas?
A: YES!
Every year people want to know how they can help, and we are so grateful. Our community is so generous!
This year, we are asking for fun experience gifts. This is one small way we can help families feel like they are more at Home for Christmas.
When a family is in a homeless circumstance, there isn’t much leisure time. There isn’t much money for a fun outing either. That’s where YOU come in.
Since families are stably sheltered while in our program, they often have a little time on the weekends or during a school holiday to do something fun together as a family.
Could you help make some fun activities possible?
Here are some ideas, and you may have connections or ideas for more!
– Family of 4 passes to the Zoo
– 4 Movie tickets
– 4 tickets to Exploration Place
– 4 coupons for photos with Santa
We can also ALWAYS use daily and monthly bus passes, available at Dillons or the Transit Center downtown.
If you can’t get out to purchase some of these, you could also mail us a check with designation: Christmas in the memo.
