On Saturday, December 7 the First Church of the Brethren will host its fifth annual Community Art and Music Fair, and proceeds are donated to Family Promise of Greater Wichita.
Each year, First Church of the Brethren invites local artists and musicians to liven up its halls by selling their beautiful art and entertaining fairgoers with lovely, local tunes. The fair brings together members of our Wichita community and always supports the work of a local or international organization.
Local artists will be selling jewelry, glass creations, woodwork, collage, pottery, and much more and each artist donates 10% of sales to Family Promise. Wichita musicians donate their talents and this year’s lineup include Celloboe (9:00 a.m.), The Crowsons (10:30 a.m.), Candice and the Business Casual (12:00 p.m.) and Knocknasheega (1:30 p.m.).
Throughout the day, fairgoers can purchase breakfast, lunch, coffee, and baked goods. All of the food is donated by members of the congregation and 100% of the food sales goes to Family Promise.
The First Church of the Brethren, which has been a host congregation since Family Promise started in Wichita, has been deeply committed to the work of FPGW and the proceeds of three of the past five fairs have gone to Family Promise.
YOU are invited — to enjoy this festive day of food, live music, and holiday shopping, all while supporting a cause that we all care about.
The fair will be held on Saturday, December 7 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at 1103 Jefferson (Riverside). More information: https://www.facebook.com/events/1309885999168446/
