We are incredibly honored and deeply grateful to share that Family Promise of Greater Wichita has been named the 2nd Best Nonprofit in Wichita in this year’s Best of Wichita awards!
What makes this recognition especially meaningful is that this was our very first year on the ballot. To be acknowledged so warmly by our community is a powerful affirmation of the trust, belief, and support Wichita has for families experiencing housing instability – and for the work being done every day to walk alongside them.
At Family Promise, we know that ending family homelessness doesn’t happen in isolation. It happens because a community chooses to show up. This recognition belongs to the staff who bring compassion, professionalism, and heart to their work, the board who guide our vision, the volunteers who give their time, and the donors and partners who invest in solutions that strengthen families.
Most importantly, it reflects a community that believes families deserve dignity, stability, and opportunity.
We are proud of the impact being made across our shelter, prevention, and stabilization programs – and proud of the way our team approaches this work with care, creativity, and resilience. This vote of confidence reminds us that Wichita sees and values the effort it takes to ensure families are supported not just in moments of crisis, but as they work toward long-term stability.
