Aaron Miller joined the Family Promise of Greater Wichita Board of Directors in 2020 as part of an endeavor to engage young professionals in a brand new way. His work over the past year, even in the midst of a global pandemic, has been an incredible asset to the FPGW organization and to the Wichita community.
Born and raised in Wichita, Aaron spent his high school years volunteering with several Catholic Charities organizations in the area. After moving to Manhattan to attend Kansas State University, he continued to be involved in community service through organizations like the Red Cross and Habitat for Humanity. Eventually, Aaron earned a degree in Human Resources Management and soon looked to return to Wichita. With his parents and siblings still in the city, he enjoyed a move back to his hometown.
Upon his return to Wichita, Aaron found a revived community pride. He loved being able to see his city through new eyes as he started his career with Syndeo. While his life as a young professional grew, Aaron began to look for ways to give back to the community like he had while he was in school.
Thanks to several other Syndeo staff members who have been valuable partners of FPGW, Aaron learned about and grew more interested in the work of Family Promise. With a growing understanding of the crisis of family homelessness, he jumped in to get more involved and to help others do the same.

As a part of the Ambassadors Program, young professionals work with Aaron to connect to different volunteer opportunities with Family Promise of Greater Wichita. Each Ambassador is connected with an FPGW Board member or team leader to join in on the work at hand, get a better understanding of how an organization works, and to be mentored on leading in various positions.
Aaron and the rest of the FPGW team are excited at the direction of the Ambassadors Program as it continues to grow. We believe in this incredible opportunity that provides a pathway for young adults in the Wichita community to connect with a network that shares a passion for community outreach and has the great potential to build a pipeline for future leaders right here in our city.
