We are EXCITED and blessed to welcome Stacy Sherwood to our staff!
Stacy holds a social work degree from WSU and has been involved in adoptions, foster care, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Sedgwick County, and the last 11 years at the Department for Children and Families. She retired in 2018 after 25 years of social work.
Stacy attended a presentation by Family Promise at Aldersgate Methodist Church earlier this year and felt there was still more left for her to do to assist families. She started volunteering at the Day House, which turned into joining the staff as a Case Manager.
She joins Dawn Epp on our Case Management staff, and both of them work in partnership with guest families to set and achieve their goals for independence.
In her spare time, Stacy enjoys golfing, the gym, and family time with Mark, her husband, plus their combined 5 children and 6 grandchildren.
She says of Family Promise, “Helping children and families has been my passion throughout my adult work career. I’m looking forward to all the work we can do together.”
Welcome Stacy! We are so grateful to have your kind heart and experience on the team!
Family Promise of Greater Wichita unites hearts and hands to provide compassionate hospitality and empower homeless families with children to achieve sustainable independence. We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
