Please help us welcome Adena McCowan to our staff team! She joins Dawn Epp as a Case Manager, providing guidance, accountability, and partnership to our guest families as they work on their individual goals.
Adena grew up in the Quaker tradition in the small Colorado town of Walsh and graduated from Tabor College with a degree in Social Science. She has intersected with a variety of community needs in her involvement in World Impact during and after college, and has spent the last 18 years in a variety of positions at Rainbows United, Inc.
Adena is married to JC and has three school-aged children, so she can frequently relate to our families who are juggling jobs and kids’ school needs.
After deciding to go back to school for her Masters of Social Work, Adena says, “God slowed me down a bit by closing doors elsewhere and opening the door at Family Promise. I am so glad He did and am grateful to be serving in a ministry that is striving to live out the gospel on a day to day, decision by decision basis. I believe it’s important to ‘Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed’ (Psalm 82:3), and I believe I get to serve in that way here. I’m looking forward to meeting everyone involved in our program!”
Welcome Adena!
