As you know, we’ve been restructuring our processes and staffing to focus more deeply on our families, and Adam Monaghan has joined our team to support that effort. Adam has been working with us on an interim basis since November, filling in during staff medical leave, handling special projects, and he is dedicated to our mission.
Adam’s new role as Administrative Specialist is 10 hours per week and strategically positioned to maintain our technology systems and to connect the volunteers who fill bookkeeping and records tasks. He and these dedicated volunteers are allowing us to free up staff resources and soon hire an additional Case Manager for our second rotation families.
Adam is a native Kansan, married for 8 years to Sarah from upstate NY. Adam and Sarah have 3 sons (ages 4, 2 and 6 months) and 1 beautiful daughter who is finishing Kindergarten.
Fun facts:
Adam is a finisher of 143 marathon/ultramarathons, including 18 100-mile finishes, in 30 U.S. states — he has a goal of a marathon finish in all 50 states!
Adam holds degrees in Christian Ministry from Friends University and Barclay College. His background has been working in the church world with mission trips, event planning and leadership.
“Si, habla español!” We have already benefited from this skill in our office.
Adam’s day job is as race director/timer for Timer Guys. One of the newest events he has started will take place on July 27 in downtown Wichita and benefits Family Promise. Check it out and come run with us! www.runurbanict.com.
In addition to spending time with his family, Adam’s passions include investing in people, hiking 14ers in Colorado, church, neighborhood and faith.
We asked him why he wants to work with us: “I am honored to have the opportunity to serve Family Promise and invest a little bit of my time, passion and energy into such an important work in Wichita.”
Welcome Adam! We are excited to be collaborating to support families together.
